COFA Host Clergy Discussion on Violence

On Friday, January 30, 2014, Coummunity of Faith Assembly and Bishop Tony Minor led a discussion of faith leaders and community members on the subject of community violence. Bishop Minor officially launched the Too Many Guns! Too Much Violence! Coalition designed to inspire to get in battle to save lives.  "Now is the time for the church to lift its voice against the growing violence in the city of Cleveland.  We must speak against it and take it to the streets to talk with our young people about the value of life and that there are better options in life, " says Bishop Minor.  Churches will host community conversations and take part in planning for a solid plan of action to hit the streets and implement Choices Workshops for teens and adults. The coalition will also look at employment and other economic development strategies needed to offer solid options to a life of crime. We will win this war by one block at a time, says Bishop Minor.
