Bishop Tony Minor to join Lee Harvard and Mt. Pleasant clergy in holding a community conversation "healing circle" on Monday June 25th at Lee Road Baptist Church on the ripple effects of violence and trauma. It is a healing and listening session with Ward One residents. It is not a rally or protest but a session where the community can comfort itself as a beginning. It is a trauma informed response to community violence and will include an organized effort to address the conditions, blight, and abandonment. "For now, we must be about healing and helping the community, especially young people cope and deal with the suppressed feelings that leads to trauma. But immediately, we must demand better conditions and greater opportunities for community members," says Bishop Tony Minor, Senior Pastor at Community of Faith. The pastor are working with Metro Hospital for advice and training on community trauma.

  2. Amen! I touch and agree! there is so much pain, discord, fear and poverty, that many of our young people think The Fight is the Only Way Out. It is our Responsibility to Teach Them, Show Them, Love Them and by doing so, we become The Beacon that will Guide them Out!
