So proud of these new members who have entered (and elevated to) the ministry at Community of Faith Assembly and were consecrated or ordained by Bishop Sherman Watkins, TD Jakes, Glen Staples, and the Council of Bishops, including Bishop Tony Minor, at the Higher Ground Holy Convocation. You see from left to right Minister Will Smith, Deaconess Debora Brown, Deaconess Pat Glover, Minister Natoya Walker Minor, Bishop Tony Minor, Deacon Michael Marable, Deaconess Amber Williams, and Elder Derrick Fellows. They completed a vigorous training program and are equipped to continue the journey of being effective and anointed men and women of God serving in anointed and appointed office under the leadership of an Elder. Here at Community of Faith Assembly, we believe that the call to ministry is not simply about inspiration, but is also about preparation. We realize that not all can attend an accredited seminary or Bible College, so the local church must establish a learning and equipping institute to "equip the saints for the work of ministry." This involves a year long process that includes prayer, discernment, assignments, papers, interviews, and reflections upon ones call to Christ and to ones call to ministry. It is completed each time one is elevated to another ministry office. The Ministry Development process is also open to the general public and is targeted toward those who will enter offices of Deacon, Deaconness, License Ministry, Elder and Pastor. For more information, call 216-883-5036. Bishop Tony Minor
