Remembering our National Mother Christine McCaskill

Higher Ground Assemblies and Community of Faith Assemblies (COFA) mourns the lost of our National Mother Christine McCaskill. Her Homegoing Celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio at Higher Ground Church led by Bishop Sherman Watkins, our General Bishop.  The eulogist for the service will be Bishop T.D. Jakes.  She will be greatly missed by so many near and far.  She is most remembered as the one who mentored and supported Bishop Jakes through his very early years of his walk with Christ in West Virginia. Bishop Jakes served as her organist and Adjuton and her footprint is all over him according to Bishop Jakes.

Bishop Tony Minor recalls that "she embraced me early when I joined Higher Ground and had me come preach at her church in Bridgeport, Ct. (outside of New York) and would sing my praises after the engagement which gave me great confidence as a young Elder. This is how she was, she made everyone better."

Outreach and Evangelism is on its way.

Outreach and evangelism has begun within COFA. Matthew 28 days “Go ye therefore...”  We have launched Come Alive on Broadway, a 90 day campaign to offer support to our community. Who is your outreach partner?  We have asked all to identify an outreach partner and to commit to one day per week. We will do outreach on Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays at noon. We meed at COFA Engel Campus for prayer prior to outreach.
