A Word of Faith and Action

From Bishop Tony Minor:

It is very true that God, the Most High, has not given us the Spirit of Fear, but God, the Most High, has given us a Sound Mind.  With that Sound Mind it is important for us to do and to think wisely.  Two cautions: Some are walking in what I call a "super faith" without, seemingly, the wisdom of concern, preparation and action. Others are stuck on debating the causes and the origins of the COVID-19 virus without taking the necessary action (there will be time for that).  It is here and we have to face it.

Let's us take action and take care of ourselves.  People of God, let us remember that "faith without works is dead."  Let us do five things: 1) Accept that it is here and we can act now. 2) Let us take care and caution--wash, sanitize, exercise 'social distancing" and, most importantly, let us be Kind.  3) Let us take care of one another and make sure that those who are sick, ill, fragile, impoverished, alone, and helpless are taken care of.  4) Let us know that we all are vulnerable and this illness can impact (if it has not already) us all--young and old.  5) Let us walk in faith and in perfect peace --knowing that we do serve a God, the Most High, who is in control of it all.

Outreach and Evangelism is on its way.

Outreach and evangelism has begun within COFA. Matthew 28 days “Go ye therefore...”  We have launched Come Alive on Broadway, a 90 day campaign to offer support to our community. Who is your outreach partner?  We have asked all to identify an outreach partner and to commit to one day per week. We will do outreach on Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays at noon. We meed at COFA Engel Campus for prayer prior to outreach.
