Stop the Violence

Join COFA Youth this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for presentation and performance on community violence. It will include a youth led discussion, refreshments, and a time of fun and fellowship. Bring a friend, but most importantly, we look forward to seeing youth. What a great issue to tackle! With so much violence going on around us, it is important that young people take the lead in sounding the alarm. This event will address one form of violence that will inspire us all.

Scriptures to Live By:

The Bible has many verses about faith, including those that describe faith as a gift from God, a sign of trust, and a way to be saved:

  • Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast"

  • Hebrews 11:1: "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see"

  • Romans 4:3-5: "For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness"

  • Galatians 5:5-6: "Faith expressing itself through love is the only thing that counts"

  • 1 Timothy 6:12: "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame"
